20 nm east-southeast back across to Gemiler Island (St Nicholas Island). Byzantine pilgrimage site, the original tomb of St Nicholas of Myra (relocated to Bari 1087 AD). Anchor in Coldwater Bay opposite — freshwater springs flowing into the sea drop the surface temperature suddenly.

6 nm north to Kızıkuyruk Koyu — pebble-beach cove inside the 12 Islands cluster, pine-fringed, mountaintop overlook on the trail above. Sea caves at the south side for kayak. Plan to kayak the south-side sea caves, hike thyme-and-pine ridge for Blue Lagoon overlook, snorkel for sea-urchins and starfish.
