Bodrum is the traditional gulet capital of Türkiye — wooden motor-sailers (most 20–35 m, crewed) cruise the Gökova Gulf, Hisarönü Bay and across to the Greek Dodecanese (Kos, Symi, Rhodes) with the right paperwork.

Turkish gulet season opens in April and runs through October. May–June and September are the most pleasant months; July–August is hotter but still cruisable with the prevailing thermal breeze.

Bodrum is dominated by crewed gulets and a smaller fleet of bareboat catamarans and sailing yachts. Many gulets offer flexible 4–10 day cabin charter departures rather than the strict Saturday-to-Saturday rotation.
