Athens is the busiest charter base in Greece. Most yachts leave from Alimos Marina (15 km from the airport), Lavrion or the Athens Riviera. The Saronic Gulf — Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Spetses — is the natural one-week loop, with light winds, short hops and a marina or town quay every evening.
The Saronic is the sheltered side of the Greek charter map, so it stays comfortable even in July and August when the Meltemi blows hard in the Cyclades. Charters typically run Saturday to Saturday, with some Athens bases offering Sunday-to-Sunday and shorter midweek departures.
